OXFORD, OH (FOX19)- Vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan visited his alma mater Miami University on Wednesday.

More than 4,000 people gathered to see Ryan engage the next generation and rally support from Oxford. Ryan asked his Miami University family to help him get elected. The crowd was energetic, excited and proud.

"Loved it, absolutely loved it," said supporter Adam Welch.

While his speech centered on the nation's economy,  Ryan touched on having a limited government, tackling the nation's debt and the importance of harvesting and using Ohio's natural resources. He said in his speech that Ohio could determine the future of the country for a long time.

He also said the President is out of ideas and says that's why his campaign is based on anger. The Romney-Ryan campaign is gearing up for a fight.
