Appraisers with the Butler County Auditor’s Office are now conducting a final review of properties leading up to the 2014 countywide reappraisal. As part of this process, each parcel record will be visually matched in the field.
The appraisers will be in Fairfield Township this week, and will remain in that area for most of October. From there, appraisers will each be assigned to a different taxing district, initially concentrating on the western portions of the county.
The review will generally be done from an Auditor vehicle, which will be clearly marked with Auditor’s Office identification on the doors, County license plates and a flashing light on top. Our appraisers will be wearing County ID and will have information handouts available.
It’s anticipated that the field review will continue through February 2014. In all, there are more than 160,000 parcels to visually inspect.
