HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - A Hamilton man has pleaded guilty to stabbing an Butler County assistant prosecutor and her brother this May.
43-year-old James Terry initially pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to felonious assault, attempted aggravated murder and other charges. He was scheduled for trial in a couple of weeks, but this week he withdrew the plea, pleading guilty to two counts of felonious assault and one of tampering with evidence.
The stabbings happened at the Fairfield home of Kelly O'Keefe while her brother Danny was there. Both were seriously injured and taken to the hospital by helicopter.
Terry's sentencing hearing is scheduled for October 17.
