Trial set for man charged with offering Chelsea Johnson drugs for sex

The man indicted for offering Chelsea Johnson drugs for sex appeared in court on Thursday, and a trial has been set.

George Donald Davis, 24, is scheduled to appear for trial on September 17th.

A motion to suppress hearing has also been scheduled for August 23rd at 1:30 p.m.

His bond was previously lowered from $250,000 to $25,000. 

Davis was indicted by a Butler County Grand Jury on charges of trafficking in heroin, importuning and compelling prostitution. 

Police say Davis offered heroin to Johnson in exchange for sex on the day she went missing. Johnson was later found stabbed to death.

Davis is not facing any charges related to her murder.
