OXFORD TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - The Butler County Sheriff's Office has released a sketch of a man who allegedly attacked the wife of a Butler County Deputy in Oxford Township.

The incident happened at about 1:45 p.m. on July 9.

Police say the woman encountered a white male, appearing to be in his mid 20's to mid 30's, with brown hair, a mustache, and wearing a camo shirt and blue jeans, armed with a knife, standing inside her house.

She stated that the suspect attacked her, took her to the ground and got on top of her.  She was able to fight him off, broke free from him, and ran to an upstairs room where she locked herself in and was able to call 911.

Deputies responded and searched the immediate area for the suspect, but were not able to locate him.

The victim was transported by Oxford Life Squad to McCullough Hyde Hospital, Oxford, for treatment of lacerations to her hands sustained in the ordeal.

Anyone with information concerning the identity or where-a-bouts of the suspect is asked to contact the Butler County Sheriff's Office at (513) 785-1300.
