Butler County Auditor to publicize store price inspection results | Business

HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - Butler County Auditor Roger Reynolds will hold a news conference Tuesday to announce a new policy for the office: The Auditor will release store price verification results in Butler County, and will display the names of stores that pass or fail. 

By Ohio Statute, the office runs surprise price and quantity verification inspections on area businesses to ensure consumers are paying the advertised and labeled prices for products. The percentage of stores failing the test has doubled this past year. 

Also, a number of stores have three straight years of error-free results, and the Auditor's office will recognize these stores as well.
